"Love Me Land" is out now
Looking back at my previous releases, it looks like there is a tendency for these playlists to get more and more upbeat, with a happier vibe overall. In the past, I was thinking that more mid-tempo songs with more meaningful lyrics would make the playlist feel more like telling a story in a way. Furthermore, I thought that if it is less bit commercial, it will feel more personal. While I still believe that all of this is true, I am now in the position to release a happy-sounding playlist, without worrying it might not be taken as seriously as the previous ones I have released.
The past few months have been incredibly tough for me, as I have been going through lots of health-related issues. Nevertheless, music has always been by my side and the upbeat music in the album can be seen as a metaphor for picking yourself up and coming through, despite all challenges. I also had very positive moments in the past 12 months, including my graduation from University!
"Love Me Land" was among the first songs that were released after the release of my last years' album — "Equally Lost". I remember being at the seaside and listening to the song. Since then, I knew the next playlist will be titled after it. Apart from the song bringing very pleasant memories for me, I think that the title can be understood in different ways. And, if you know me well, you would know that I am into the abstract — I like when any sort of art can be understood differently, based on the person's feelings and emotions.
"Love Me Land" is available on the major streaming services — Apple Music and Spotify, as well as on YouTube.
